Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Sterling Supply Chain Information Hub development team is looking for a Full Stack Data Analytics developer to add to its agile development team. The Information Hub development team aims to provide a cloud native micro-services approach towards bringing 'Data Visibility & Insights' to the entire Supply Chain portfolio. We looking for a highly motivated, skilled software developer to join its team in our Markham Lab location.

Core competencies:
(1) Software development (Strong in Java & Back-end technologies)
(2) Agile development
(3) Flexibility and adaptability

This role will work with IBM Sterling Supply Chain Information Hub development teams across IBM Toronto, Shanghai & Bangalore Labs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3+ years of experience with product development
Experience in developing backend components in Java including RESTful APIs with knowledge of Spring Framework, JSON based messaging format
Hands on experience in modelling databases (particularly nosql), working on indexes, materialized views, performance tuning / optimization of queries, data migration scripts, etc.
Experience using Microservices based Architecture

Follow coding best practices with unit testing using established unit test framework - TestNG/JUnit
Adopt the development agile practice in the team to maintain high quality of code established with code reviews
Adapt to development of applications using source control tools such as Git/GitHub

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with docker/Kubernetes in developing applications for cloud deployment
