Your Role and Responsibilities
Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) project is a large-scale, internal, complex initiative which integrates financial, marketing, offering and sales data into a simple, visual user interface, leveraging machine learning for new insights into the users business. EPM is transforming the way IBM use data to take action and drive business outcomes across the enterprise. This includes bringing together data, technology and workflow, enabling artificial intelligence in our operational management system.
The Data Engineer will understand data requirements and implement them in our existing data lake, being responsible for the end-to-end development and support cycle, and with the mindset of data accuracy, performance, scalability and security.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Self-directed, good communication skills, collaborate with others, fluent English level, embrace change in a positive way.
- Experience with front end languages like JavaScript, HTML/CSS
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with open source tools like Apache Spark and Apache Airflow
- Experience programming in Python
- Experience programming in Scala. Or willing to learn Scala
- Experience with GitHub
- Experience with DB2 and knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of software engineering practices
- Knowledge of system building/debugging/testing
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Travis and Jenkins
- Experience with Agile techniques and principles
- English: fluent
