Job Description

Participate as a key member of the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Data Architecture team to develop business and data architectures accompanied by appropriate strategies, roadmaps and designs to enable alignment of business and technology decisions with Line of Business and Enterprise goals. This role will provide architecture leadership for key data initiatives across the enterprise through assessment, design and review activities related to data sourcing, provisioning, storage, organization, integration and movement in alignment to defined and emerging strategies and architectures,

Key Responsibilities Include:

Successful candidate will act as a technical expert in support of the design and development of data solutions of varying complexity that impact single or multiple lines of business. They will participate in risk and operational analysis and remediation activities, provide leadership in tradeoff analysis and decision making, interact with horizontal technical teams to ensure business and technical requirements are addressed, leverage technical skills in support of stakeholders and partner with other architecture teams to define and develop cross strategies and solutions that meet customer needs while ensure governance processes are being completed.

Location(s):Preferred locations: is Minneapolis, MN: Charlotte, NC; St. Louis, MO; or Phoenix, AZ but open to all locations throughout the US and telecommuting.

Who We Are:

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in systems, applications, or architecture
  • 5+ years of data management experience
  • 3+ years of Metadata experience
  • 3+ years of data modeling experience
  • 5+ years of information technology design experience including systems, applications or architecture

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience influencing management on technical or business solutions
  • Experience with a wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications or a component family
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • 5+ years of financial industry experience
  • Ability to manage initiatives related to the following: architecture roadmap that aligns with business strategy and the broader architecture community; hardware and capacity planning, consolidation and rationalization; related emerging technology assessment and incubation
  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Knowledge and understanding of business requirement analysis and design including: documentation of data and system architectures
  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: leading and designing conceptual, logical and physical architecture
  • 2+ years of Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language)
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo data warehouses such as: EIW, BMG, MDSS, Hemisphere, IMS, SMS, or CMODS
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
