Project Overview:

Nest is looking for a Data Analyst to help support the operating success of our business planning & reporting infrastructure. Supporting our business operations and reporting functions, you will help support the development of business planning and reporting systems by developing underlying SQL infrastructure, monitoring master data properties and hierarchies, and curating key data sources to enable production-grade integrations between our business intelligence systems. This role will rely on a combination of strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset to enable Nest to set KPIs and report on business success metrics globally.

The ideal candidate will be able to balance strong technical and data analysis skills with collaboration and teamwork to deliver production grade reporting and data management processes. While based out of Palo Alto, you will collaborate with all global operating markets to ensure reported metrics align with regional business expectations.

Overall Responsibilities:

Build curation processes and table audits to ensure high-quality data within reporting systems

Build and develop reporting dashboards to optimize reporting functions and drive efficiency

Submit business requirement documents to development teams to enable future reporting requirements

Develop data integration strategies and optimize master data management processes between systems

Top 3 Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end flow and curation of critical business performance & reporting data

Collaborate with sales and sales ops in troubleshooting reporting and solving root causes

Partner with business systems teams to develop highly-curated reporting tables via SQL

Required Skills:

BA or BS (or equivalent) in information systems, computer science, statistics, or related field

2+ years of experience in a data-intensive or analytics-focused role

Strong experience in SQL development, including script management and data integration

Experience with Tableau or similar data-visualization tools

Nice to Have Skills/Not Required

Exceptional problem-solver with strong critical thinking skills

Experience in Anaplan (or willingness to learn)

Innate curiosity for learning emerging technologies

Passionate about problem-solving and communicating insights; self motivated to get things done

Strong ability to manage data and integrate various data sources into model infrastructure
