  • Design, implement, and manage the overall security architecture, ensuring continuous awareness and communication of enterprise risk at the executive level.
  • Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements
  • Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs
  • Plan security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Cloud architectures, virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices
  • Develop detailed technical security standards for infrastructure components and improve compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Conduct vulnerability testing for systems, networks, and applications; coordinate risk remediation efforts, and implement mitigating controls as needed.
  • Provide risk analysis to assist with configuration management.
  • Provide technical leadership to the Incident Response Team, maintain rapid response capabilities, and mitigate identified weaknesses.
  • Prepare system reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends, and to communicate security issues to senior management.
  • Provide oversight and roadmaps for infrastructure security devices, including IPS, SIEM, malware proxies, network and systems access controls, firewalls, authentication devices, enterprise monitoring systems, and others.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in IT security architecture components, demonstrating solutions delivery; including network design, application delivery, remote access, cloud components (Iaas, Saas, Paas), security devices, data protection technologies, mobile device management, and others.
  • Security Considerations for Cloud Computing and IAM (Identity and Access Management) technologies
  • Working knowledge of application security issues, and knowledge of penetration testing techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and communication protocols / services in LANs / WANs, IP Addressing, Sub-netting, NAT, ACLs, IPSec and SSL VPN Tunneling.
  • Strong working knowledge of firewalls, proxy and reverse proxy solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IDS/IPS solutions designed for large-scale enterprise networks.
  • Solid working knowledge of wireless security protocols and deployment best practices.
  • BS Degree in CS, IS, Engineering or equivalent related to Information Security
  • Must be a US citizen with ability to pass a Government background investigation.

Additional Qualifications:

  • CISSP, CISA, GIAC or similar certification desired
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, operating and database systems, networking devices, and technical security controls.
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with senior leadership and the business customer
