The ZOO is a creative think-tank for brands and agencies with teams of creatives, producers, strategists, and technologists. In collaboration with our sales teams, we create bespoke brand marketing campaigns for advertisers and inspire brands who want to make the most of Google's tools, platforms, and display media technology.


Are you a Creative Director with a strong visual background and agency experience who lives and breathes the digital advertising space? Do you understand how to build compelling advertising, blending timeless storytelling with engaging technology to create never-before-done ideas? Are you thirsty for something out of left field, that may well take your career into uncharted territory? If so, a Creative Director role on the ZOO might be just what you are looking for.

We are looking for a creative storyteller with strategy leanings and a passion for melding creativity with technology. You will focus on using Google tools and insights to bring big ideas and unique-to-Google magic to advertisers and agencies. You are first and foremost a creative collaborator, leading and developing compelling concepts for large-scale online programs and more. The role requires an agnostic approach to solution development where "a good idea can come from anywhere." You work closely with a team of Creative Specialists to shape ideas, protect creative integrity, and deliver work that meets the highest standards of concept, strategy and presentation.

Specifically, you'll work closely with Account, Strategy, and Branded Content teams as the Creative Director to develop innovative digital advertising programs that "light up" consumers and drive large-scale commitments from brand advertisers. As someone who loves to wear many different creative hats you possess deep knowledge of the creative requirements and parameters of a variety of online communications media including advertising, direct marketing, interactive, social media, communities and collateral. You are passionate, smart, and fun, with strong conceptual skills. You love the opportunity to create truly stand out work and believe good is the enemy of great. 1. Create and develop world class ideas; Seek out and explore world firsts: the kind of ideas that have never been seen before

2. Work closely with internal local and regional sales teams to help generate game-changing brand solutions for clients and collaborate with external creative and media agency partners to develop potent consumer engagements

3. Foster innovation and invention through experimentation in digital communication technologies

4. Expose sales and agency teams to both the latest and best-in-class advertising executions

5. Erase the gap between traditional and digital executions within larger campaigns


BA, BFA or BS degree in related discipline, preferably from a leading institution (advanced degree preferred).

Minimum 5 -10 years of experience within media and/or creative agencies

Agency experience or experience with corporate marketing

Digital experience

Experience developing compelling sales materials and collateral

Outstanding written and oral communication and public speaking skills; strong organizational and analytical skills

Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy; strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position marketing programs in the market

Experience at highly creative agency(s) on big brands.

Strong interest in online advertising and in creating large-scale programs using the latest technologies in exciting and innovative ways.
