EPC client involved in heavy industrial engineering & construction projects is looking for a Contracts Administrator with solid experience on contract terms & administration. This is a 2 year long project in the Baltimore, MD area. You need 3-7 years of experience on project costing with a focus on contract conformance & administration in support of heavy industrial EPC projects. Client is only looking for candidate local to the are or within a commutable distance.

Responsibilities for the Contracts Administrator

  • Provide cost control & contract administration analysis specific to multiple engineering & construction contracts in support of a large gas pipeline project
  • Conduct first review of contractor invoices ensuring proper backup and verification of formulas and total actuals to date are accurate
  • Prepare Notice of Invoice Disputes as required
  • Monitor other steps in the invoice review procedure to assure timely completion
  • Assist Contract Conformance Specialists with the administration of the construction contracts
  • Reviewing contractor change order requests and routing them through the Project Management team for validation and approval
  • Review & administer contractual basis for change order, coordinate approval process, maintain change order logs, and cost reporting/forecasting
  • Generating purchase requisitions for new and/or additions to existing purchase orders
  • Track budget value of each contract against the current approved committed contract and notify the Project Management team when funds are running low

Requirements for the Contracts Administrator

  • 3-7 years of contract & subcontract administration experience supporting heavy industrial plant EPC projects
  • You need specific experience as a Contracts Administrator, Contracts Analyst, Contracts Specialist or Contracts Manager supportin engineering & construction projects
  • You need experience with contract retainage scenarios as well as administering change orders on large engineering & construction contracts
  • You must have experience performing weekly detailed invoice reviews for construction contracts from Subcontractors
  • You need a broad understanding of the construction industry and contract language associated EPC projects
  • You need a BS/BA in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
