Contract position: IMMEDIATE NEED!!!! EPC client is looking for a Contracts Administrator for a long term contract assignment in Buckhannon, WV. You need 15-30+ years of experience as a Contracts Administrator/Contracts Manager supporting large, heavy industrial (refinery, process, power, chemical, Oil & Gas, etc...) construction projects. You MUST HAVE specific experience on large diameter pipeline construction projects, preferably recent experience. Client is offering mob, demob, & a per diem for candidates that are not local.

Responsibilities for the Contracts Administrator

  • Administer construction contracts in support of a long range (100+ miles) gas pipeline project
  • Manage change order process, which includes managing change order log and reviewing contractor requested changes
  • Ensure contract changes are captured and approved per the documented processes
  • Monitor compliance with contract requirements including: Labor Reports, Insurance Certificates, Lien Releases and Waivers, & Bond Logs
  • Be involved stop notices, construction claims, subcontractor qualifications and agreements, and others
  • Assist construction team with duties regarding start-up of project (ex: trailers, electrical, plumbing, permitting, and any temporary requirements)
  • Ensure that all receivables from contractors are received in a timely manner and that they are correct and within their scope of work per the contract and agreement
  • Prepare meeting agenda, participate in person at, and take & distribute meeting notes for, all contract-related meetings between company and contractor
  • Facilitate the issue resolution process by working with initiators to clearly define the problem, identify and analyze possible solutions, involve stakeholders, and ultimately resolve the issue
  • Ensure all contract related records are stored according to company policy & procedures and assist in updating and renewal of provider contracts as necessary
  • Work with construction team to manage the adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations in all relevant contracts
  • Aggregate spread level reports and provide root cause and variance analysis/reporting to home office on project change order information

Requirements for the Contracts Administrator

  • 15+ years of experience as a Contracts Administrator developing & negotiating contract terms & conditions specifically for contracts related to EPC projects
  • You must have experience as a Contracts Administrator, Contracts Manager or Contracts Analyst supporting large pipeline construction projects
  • Client requires you have specific experience supporting large diameter - 24" and above pipeline construction projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contractual legal issues, provision, and applications
  • Contract administration knowledge required; must be able to understand contracts that are complex in nature
  • Strong contract development skills, including the development and implementation of risk mitigation, and performance standards and measures
  • A BS Degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management would be a PLUS
  • Experience in the natural gas industry is a PLUS
