Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM North America Market organization serves clients in United States and Canada by developing deep relationships with clients to bring together capabilities from IBM and its network of Business Partners to develop and implement solutions. Leaders develop talent and foster speed in addressing opportunity in a dynamic, growing market; serving clients with expertise in their industry as well as through the products and services that IBM and partners supply. The Industry Client Leader (ICL) is the integrator of IBM for the client, responsible for overall client satisfaction by managing key relationships and ensuring the client derives value from IBM. The client leader must be able to communicate confidently and effectively with executives at the highest levels in both IBM and at the client.

Act as a trusted leaderand be a valued, long term strategic partner to the client's CEO and line of business executives. Leverage IBMs entire portfolio of capabilities, including technology, services and research, to help solve clients business issues and drive tangible value in the clients terms for the enterprise. Be the window into IBM for the client, and to mobilize IBM globally through access to both senior IBM management and global resources as well as be regarded as the industry expert.

Leading Consumer Industry sales squads and strategy with Macy's to align resources and differentiating industry solutions to accelerate digital transformations, resulting in mutually aligned increases in revenue and relevance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Customize IBM strategies, research, products and services to satisfy unique client requirements
  • Drive industry specific skill growth across IBM cross-brand teams
  • Drive revenue, profit and wallet share growth
  • Act as a role model for client driven innovation across IBM
  • Maximize client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Be operationally sound, utilizing IBMs business reporting procedures; participate in the Sales Cadence process as required

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Contemporary Cloud based skills with the ability to have a Journey to Cloud conversation
  • Aggressive sales leader with a technical bias
  • Ability to lead a matrixed organization
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
  • Drive a high performance culture
  • Ability to build and maintain C level relationships
  • Successful client relationship and sales track record
  • Knowledge of IBM solutions, transformational thinker
  • Client facing experience - C-suite
