Responsibilities

The Computer Scientist will support the I2 division through the utilization of their knowledge in analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large scale data sets. Employs mathematics, statics, information science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, network science, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering, data warehousing, data compression, data protection, and / or other scientific techniques to correlate complex, technical findings into graphical. written, visual and verbal narrative products on trends of existing intelligence data to leverage other IC data sources. Develops and utilizes machine learning and data mining algorithms, including, but not limited to, Multiple Information Model Synthesis Architecture (MIMOSA) prediction algorithms based on open source capabilities. Integrates or codes algorithms to support Government intelligence search and discovery missions. Makes best-practice recommendations on managing data within hardware, software, storage, and bandwidth constraints. Employs data science techniques to support predictive analysis. social media and crowd-source data analytics. wargaming. and strategy development. Employs exploratory analysis and rapid iteration techniques of large volumes of data to quickly derive intelligence. Prepares products to describe and document findings and activities.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Clearance: TS/SCI with current CI scope Polygraph (with one year of currency minimum) OR willing to undergo CI scope Polygraph PLUS
  • Bachelors Degree or 15+ years of relevant management experience PLUS
  • 8+ years of relevant management experience and 4+ years of IC experience working in a government environment as either a member of the Armed Forces, Government or Contractor employee leading large complex projects or multi-disciplined teams
  • Proficient in developing solutions to issues or complex problems.
  • Proficient in developing performance goals and objectives for contract staff and monitor achievement of those goals.

Desired:

  • Education: Masters Degree, 20 + years of experience and Command and Staff College or Service War College
  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience: Strategy, Policy and Plans; Finance/Budgeting
  • Equivalency: Field Grade Military Officer (O5/O6)
