Description
POSITION PROFILE (This position can be supported out of any of our U.S. locations.)
 
Primarily responsible for providing competitive and market intelligence for sales, marketing and management teams. This person will meet with internal stakeholders to indentify and prioritize competitor and market information needs required for making strategic, tactical and sales planning decisions.
 
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Profile key competitors through in-depth analysis. Communicate critical competitor information throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to create matrix showing ideal product fit, as well as the sales tools
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence to sales teams and product marketing to support account and product planning.
  • Analyze market intelligence and share data from secondary and syndicated data sources such as Gartner, IDC and Photizo to convey Ricoh's market position by segment and indentify growing market opportunities and/or early warnings of share or segment declines.
  • Manage third-party vendors for competitive intelligence and win/loss analysis to meet timelines, budgets and business objectives.
  • Craft customer surveys to gather data and insights. 
  • Inform the marketing, sales, and customer support teams about the competitive landscape, and our solutions' unique selling points (USP) in comparison. 
  • Attend events and interact with customers to further understand industry trends, competitive offerings and how our solutions help meet these challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Typically Requires:
  • College degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in competitive intelligence or market analysis
  • Working knowledge of primary and secondary research methodologies and techniques used to acquire market and competitive intelligence
  • Experience designing and executing a variety of competitive intelligence projects.
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing Key Intelligence Topics (KITS) within an organization
  • Successful track record of working with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management experience. Proactively manages and adjusts to the needs of internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to utilize standard software applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
