Contract position: Large utility has an immediate need for a Instrumentation and Controls professional in Jackson,MI. This is a contract position expected to last 12 months with an extension, could be long term. Will offer per diem. Apply Now!

Responsibilities for the Commissioning Engineer

  • Responsible for developing test packages for new installed equipment in Compressor Stations and executing them by providing direction to Testing Technicians
  • Typical devices encountered will be; Low Voltage Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), protective and control relays, meters, transformers, transducers i.e.; pressure, temperature and flow transmitters, compressor controls, etc

Requirements for the Commissioning Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is preferred
  • 5+ years experience with oil & gas, chemical or industrial systems: Low Voltage control, Industrial Instrumentation and Compressor Control Systems
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and SCADA systems
  • MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word skills
