This is a graduate position which will enable the successful candidate to learn the business from the ground up, spending valuable time within the credit area of the business in order to develop an extensive practical knowledge of this dynamic industry. The graduate will be working closely with clients in a variety of industries, while liaising and learning more about key areas such as credit, collateral, financials, legal and treasury. The client base covering both UK centric customers doing business across Europe and globally, as well as supporting US and Canadian based customers with international operations.

This is a Collateral Analyst role within our Asset Based Lending division, where the candidate will be in a non- rotational position within the portfolio team focussing on Lending to a diverse client base

An overview of the more specific duties and responsibilities include:
  • Day to day client contact to ensure the real assets within the client can provide availability for lending against.
  • Involvement in initial client set-ups.
  • Review of information submitted by clients and reporting on trends in funded assets.
  • Monitor and analyse trends in clients collateral including accounts receivables, inventory, real estate and plant and machinery.
  • Close collaboration with the other team members and relationship managers.
  • Preparation of monthly reports and participation in portfolio meetings.
  • Communicate with Relationship Manager regarding any changes in the status of an account.
  • Prepare monthly statistics, as needed, including dilution, turnover days, payables summaries concentrations and reconciliations, and others as required.
  • On-going financial analysis, together with participation in credit modification requests and refinancing.
  • Credit risk ratings related to the financial performance and the collateral security.
  • Prepare information for risk policy documents including rating calculations and problem loan reports.
  • Prepare any necessary reports on participation or syndicated loans.
  • Training customers.
