As a Lead Technical Cloud Specialist, you will be joining a talented team of professionals with a diverse array of cloud expertise. Coupled with IBMs World Class training and enablement programs, you will create and maintain strong, trusted internal and external client relationships at all levels. You will design solution recommendations for clients by applying your broad technical skills, industry knowledge and business acumen. These recommendations leverage IBM technologies, architectures, integrated solutions, hybrid cloud patterns, and other offerings to solve the client's business challenges and deliver tangible business value.

What you will do:
  • Translate abstract technical cloud infrastructure concepts into business value
  • Collaborate with clients and develop the right solution, with a cloud first mindset, to fit their needs
  • Serve as the as the go-to expert on cloud infrastructure for your sales team
  • Work closely with sales, client solution executives and project executives as the technical expert for various PaaS and IaaS technologies and solutions
  • Drive revenue and client satisfaction growth in a defined marketGTSTCS18

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Experience working with C-level executives and other technical customers
  • Demonstrated track record of selling clients on cloud thought leadership and solutions
  • 5 - 10 years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architectures
  • Subject matter expertise of solutions in many technology and business domains (Cloud Compute, Storage, Network, Security)
  • Experience with one or more cloud technology platforms including but not limited to IBM, AWS, Google, and Microsoft
  • Experience with designing, building and/or running products on a cloud platform and providing managed services on them
  • Experience in DevOps Containers and Big Data technologies in close alignment with business objectives
  • Be a mentor and help facilitate the career development of other employees within the Hybrid Cloud team

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in customer/partner facing roles with demonstrated success leading technical and economic value discussions with senior executives to drive key decisions and implementation
  • Domain expertise in multiple industry verticals (finance, communications, healthcare, etc.)
  • Reliable team member and collaborator who is adept at working across various teams as well as business partners locally and virtually
  • Ability to work with and manage relationships with 3rd party advisors
  • Creative problem solver and embraces change
  • Ability to work in complex, matrix managed organizational environments
