Your Role and Responsibilities
Do you have a passion for Cloud application architecture and development and for continually learning in the fast-growing world of Cloud?
As a member of the CIO Cloud Technical Services team, you will provide technical consultation to internal-IBM application teams looking to implement Cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will be an I/T Architect or Software Developer with experience designing, developing, and deploying container-based applications using Docker/Kubernetes and/or Cloud Foundry.
As a member of the CIO Cloud Technical Services team, you will have opportunities to apply your skills to a variety of projects, further develop your expertise with state-of-the-art tools and technologies, and have positive impact on IBMers world-wide.
Job Duties:
  • Consult to internal-IBM teams. Provide guidance on architecture, choosing the best Cloud offering for applications needs, and design for resiliency and security.
  • Identify opportunities for internal-IBM application teams to benefit from IBM Cloud.
  • Develop applications that illustrate reference architectures for Cloud-based applications.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Minimum of 1 year experience designing, developing, and deploying container-based applications using Docker/Kubernetes and/or Cloud Foundry or similar tools.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience designing and developing applications that run on commercial Cloud offerings such as IBM Cloud, ORACLE Cloud, Amazon Cloud, or Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience designing and implementing resiliency for availability assurance of Cloud applications.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience designing and implementing I/T Security for Cloud applications.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Experience as a Consultant or Business Analyst assessing business needs, documenting requirements, developing solution proposals, and deploying solutions to business users.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
