Our client is looking for a Cisco Network VoiP Engineer for a 6 month project in Sacramento, CA. This could be a potential contract to hire opportunity or longer term contract.


Voice Network Implementation


Duties:


A-1 Provides leadership as an experienced professional for Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) systems and applications implementations


A-2 Coordinates all phases of multiple, complex network projects; planning, design, procurement, implementation and documentation


A-3 Consults with other units on new or retrofit building projects and provides advice and guidance on communications infrastructure


A-4 Performs complex analysis and takes a lead role in the design, specification and installation of distribution and access electronics


A-5 Provides advance level programming and technical support for IT Unified Communication implementation of voice hardware, applications and Software


A-6 Implements solutions for Voice Messaging applications such as Cisco Unity Voice Mail, Cisco UCCX Automated Call Distribution system and Cisco Auto Attendant scripts to support organizational and departmental projects


A-7 Impalements complex communications and network system changes


A-8 Trouble shoots complex issues in network systems software and distribution and access electronics for medium and large network installations.


A-9 Assist network engineers with the design, implementation and maintenance of Unified Communications network system including but not limited to Cisco Call Manager (CUCM), Cisco Voice Mail (Unity), Cisco Automated Call Distribution (UCCX), Cisco Automated Call Distribution (PCCE), Cisco Auto Attendants, Cisco Video and NEC Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone system


A-10 Advance skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues pertaining to enterprise wide CLIENTS systems, applications and hardware


A-11 Participates in the development and implementation of a long range plan for future network development based on management assigned goals


A-12 Coordinates with multiple vendors, (PO&M, FD&C, AMCOM , AT&T,) Network Services and others as needed Unified Communications technologies and applications


A-13 Works with engineers team to test and evaluate recommended technology improvements to improve reliability, effectiveness and customer service


Function B Title: Project Management


Duties:


B-1 Coordinates all phases of multiple complex network projects, planning, design, procurement, implementation and documentation.


B-2 Consults with other units on new or retrofit building projects and provide advice and guidance on communications infrastructure.


B-3 Evaluates and tests new or enhanced electronics and services


B-4 Coordinates with multiple vendors, (PO&M, FD&C, AMCOM, AT&T,) Network Services, Unified Communications and others as needed for installation, implementation or maintenance tasks required to support Unified Communications technologies and applications.


B-5 Creates work plans and schedules IT Unified Communications system changes required to support departmental projects, ensures that services effecting changes are approved through change management to notify users and ensure network efficiency and reliability.


B-6 Takes a lead role in the project management of all phases of multiple; large-scope, complex Unified Communications network projects


B-7 Participates in cross-functional group discussions, activities and efforts for the Unified Communications


B-8 Conducts project planning, scheduling customer meeting and training


B-9 Responsible for projects with significant and sometimes critical importance to CLIENT patient care and administrative support


B-10 Participate in meetings with administrators and information and communications services staff to resolve operations and other issues pertaining to CLIENT's mission


B-11 Advise management, project coordinators, departmental staff, and task force group members of project status.


B-12 Participates in department and division short-and long-range plans to support operations, programs, personnel, and space reconfigurations to meet the divisional strategic goals and objectives.


B-13 Coordinates with customers and others to minimize any operational impact during project support functions to Unified Communications Services (Voice, Data, Video) services over the CLIENTS Data Network and PCN clinics..


B-14 Provides technical expertise in the development of written reports to departmental user for system capacity and usage.


B-15 Creates and maintains written specifications, usage reports operating, procedures, documentation and training materials.


Function C Title: Voice Network Operations/ Troubleshooting


Duties:


C-1 Responsible for completing daily adds, moves and changes for complex communications and network system.


C-2 Responsible for daily maintenance tasks, customer repairs and warm transfer support for Technical Operations Center (TOC).


C-3 Point of contact for any third-level escalations from the IT Operations Center or desktop technicians


C-4 Configures and troubleshoots systems that support telecommunications network services.


C-5 Provides expert advice to users/units on communications needs.


C-6 Provides support as part of the IT Unified Communications team, assists with the implementation and maintenance of hardware and


applications ( Cisco Unity Voice Mail , UCCX/ PCCE Automated Call Distribution, Call Manager, IP Celerate, Cisco Emergency Responder, NEC Public Branch Exchange (PBX), features and functions for a large enterprise network.


C-7 Maintains the efficiency of a complex network applications and technology's such as Cisco Call Manager (CUCM), Cisco Voice Mail (Unity), Cisco Automated Call Distribution (UCCX), Cisco Automated Call Distribution (PCCE), Cisco Auto Attendants, Cisco Video and NEC Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone system


C-8 Advance skills and ability to work independently to analyze and resolve issues pertaining to enterprise wide CLIENT systems, applications and hardware


C-9 Works directly with vendor/manufacture technical support to isolate and resolve complex hardware and software issues.


C-10 Ability to creates work plans through change management to coordinates problem resolutions of Unified Communications components and applications to ensure network efficiency and reliability.


C-11 Ability to coordinates with customers and others to minimize the operational impact of repairs, implementation and maintenance functions.


C-14 Summarize resolution of system and networking problems, forward records to the supervisor who tracks workload characteristic and departmental statistics


C-14 Provides root cause analysis and summary resolution of system and networking problems.


C-15 Responsible for On Call Support and Coordinates problem resolutions for voice or data network components to ensure network functional and reliability.


Required:


Advanced working experience with large enterprise professional communications and network systems


Experience installing and maintaining an enterprise size VoIP technology architecture and design


Experience installing and maintaining a large Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone systems


Experience installing and maintaining the integration between UCCM and Unity Voice mail system


Experience installing and maintaining a large network dial-plan, calling search spaces, and device pools configurations


Experience working with VoIP Voice Messaging hardware and application


Experience working with VoIP Automated Call Distribution (ACD) systems and application.


Experience working with Auto Attendant configurations and writing of scripts to support departmental requests


Working experience WAN and VoIP protocols, including MGCP, SCCP, SIP, H.323, T1, ISDN, Frame Relay and QOS


Experience with of various network hardware platforms, network related protocols and software including understanding of OSI layer 2 and 3 protocols at a complex level and related technical standards critical to the operation of interconnected networks


Experience and problem solving skills to quickly assess problems, evaluate options, make a decision and resolve problems


Experience and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously


Preferred:


Experience leading a team of technician's to support day to day monitoring and maintenance of large enterprise voice network and applications such as (Cisco Call Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Voice Messaging, Cisco UCCX Automated Call system, Cisco PCCE Automated Call system etc)


Experience installing and maintaining a large Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Unified Communications management system


Experience installing and maintaining a large NEC Fusion Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone systems


Experience working with LAN protocols including dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, etc.), gateway protocols (BGP, EIGRP, etc.), and backbone protocols


Experience analyzing highly complex communication hardware and software systems and maintaining a real-time resource that impacts campus/medical center/ OP-wide network users


Experience using problem-solving skills and techniques to resolve unique issues and problems


Experience gathering, organizing and analyze data in the completion of a variety of functional assignments


Experience in communicating technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization


Experienced in interpret manuals to configure hardware or identify the source of a problem and take corrective action


Experience work independently and generate innovative solutions to problems


Experience in understands the communications and network needs of the organization and applying the skills needed to address those needs


Skills and experience needed to understands implications of work on other areas


Experience managing projects and meeting critical deadlines


Self-motivated person who can work independently and as part of a team


Experience in documenting technical systems, procedures and developing work plans
