Wells Fargo Liquid Products Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with domain expertise to assist with the build out of real-time pricing and risk services. The team supports trading businesses around the globe which participate in the market making and distribution of Interest Rate Swaps.

This role is for a Core Java developer to join the server side development team which has team members in multiple cities across the globe. The team practices the Agile Methodology. There is frequent, close collaboration (video, phone, chat) with the objective of incrementally delivering value to end users.

The successful candidate would be a self-starter who is able to take high level business requirements, work with BAs to resolve ambiguity, propose and sell a solution design to team members and then communicate and execute an implementation plan. The candidate should have background knowledge in interest rate derivatives including understanding curve construction and how to price future cash flows and have knowledge of market conventions.

The individual in this role will be responsible for:

Architecting, designing and developing, unit and stress testing high performing services which provide real-time data to the global wholesale trading desks and also serve our electronic trading business. Participate in and conduct code review sessions, and provide process improvements.

Technologies used include Apache Storm and MongoDB. Services are deployed to Linux platforms

Other Desired Qualifications C# development experience (for authoring APIs) Experience with high performance programming techniques in Java Good attention to detail and analytical problem solving skills Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions Ability to evaluate new technologies Good understanding and working knowledge of core technology concepts in like networking, multi-threading, synchronization, data structures, algorithms, memory management, etc. Experienced in diagnosing performance bottlenecks and performance tuning Good understanding and/or working knowledge of Compliance and Regulatory needs in building capital markets electronic trading applications Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (ability to clearly express ideas and proposed solutions) Knowledge of pub/sub messaging platforms for real-time data distribution Domain expertise in Interest Rate Derivatives and knowledge of capital markets businesses and processes 5 + years of experience supporting real-time derivative pricing or risk platforms Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering Proactive team member with *can-do* attitude Ability to support releases and the production environment by working nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduledSalary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.NC-Charlotte: Min: $114,700 Mid: $163,800
