Job Description

Work on design and development of software projects supporting key business needs on the Calypso platform. Work with business partners to determine requirements and provide solutions that meet those requirements. Work with technical analysis to effectively define functional requirements and perform software engineering when designing and developing software and interfaces to other internal applications. Support and enhance Calypso accounting processes, reporting, confirms generation, and related end of day scheduled tasks. Enhance and support regulatory solutions on the Calypso platform including Dodd-Frank and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Troubleshoot production issues and work with team members for effective resolution of issues. Provide 3rd level support for production systems. Work directly with users to identify/prioritize and resolve issues and/or provide enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of application development experience
  • 3+ years of securities industry experience
  • 5 + years of computer application development experience
  • 3+ years of securities industry experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 4+ years of JavaEE experience
  • 3+ years of UNIX experience
  • 3+ years of trading systems development or implementation experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions
  • 3+ years of Calypso technology experience
  • 3+ years of PL/SQL experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of foreign exchange (FX) payment processing, trading technologies, and back office concepts
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and project managers
  • Ability to integrate vendor software into localized deployment processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of trade lifecycle
  • JBOSS experience
  • Messaging Queue (MQ) experience
