JOB DESCRIPTION

WELLS FARGOS MARKETING DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM (MDSS) IS LOOKING FOR A SENIOR LEVEL BSC/QA TO PROVIDE DATA QUALITY AND BUSINESS ANALYSIS SUPPORT FOR OUR BUSINESS BANKING PLATFORM. THIS ROLE WILL REPORT TO THE DATA QUALITY AND USER SUPPORT TEAM WITHIN THE MARKETING DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM (MDSS), AND PARTNER WITH THE BUSINESS BANKING GROUP TO PROVIDE QUALITY ASSURANCE AND BUSINESS ANALYSIS FOR MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

THE TEAM MEMBER SELECTED FOR THIS ROLE MUST POSSESS THE ABILITY TO LEARN NEW SKILLS AND IMPROVE UPON THEIR CURRENT SKILLS-SET, A HIGH DEGREE OF EFFICIENCY AND MOTIVATION IN WORK HABITS WITH THE ABILITY TO WORK IN A CHALLENGING, FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO COMPREHEND COMPLEXITY, TO FULLY UNDERSTAND PROCESSES WITH ALL OF THE BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGICAL IMPLICATIONS, AND TO APPROACH THE QUALITY OF THE PROCESSES FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE.

RESPONSIBLE FOR HANDLING COMPLEX QUALITY ASSURANCE PROCESSES AND ASSESSING PROBLEMS AND ISSUES TO ENSURE ACTIVITIES FOLLOW THE NECESSARY INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTROLS.
CONDUCTS COMPLEX ANALYSES INCLUDING FINDING ROOT CAUSE AND SOLUTIONS TO ISSUES FOUND IN QC, PROPOSED RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHANGE TO IMPROVE FUTURE DATA QUALITY, QC TEST DEVELOPMENT AND REPORTING ON RESULTS.
REGULARLY CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW CONCEPTS, TECHNIQUES AND STANDARDS.
ACT AS A LIAISON BETWEEN THE CLIENT AREA AND TECHNICAL ORGANIZATION BY PLANNING, CONDUCTING AND COMPLETING ANALYSIS OF MODERATELY COMPLEX BUSINESS PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED WITH AUTOMATED SYSTEMS.
COORDINATE TEST PLANS AND PROGRAMMING ACTIVITIES.
WORK WITH USER GROUPS TO PROVIDE TRAINING, RESOLVE QUESTIONS, ASSESS USER NEEDS AND RECOMMEND CHANGES TO THE AUTOMATED SYSTEMS.
GATHER DATA AND PREPARE NECESSARY REPORTS AND PROJECT ARTIFACTS.
MAY BE A DECISION MAKER FOR EXCEPTIONS TO GUIDELINES.
MAY PROVIDE WORK DIRECTION AND TRAINING TO MORE JUNIOR STAFF INCLUDING COACHING LOWER LEVEL ANALYSTS ON QUALITY ASSURANCE, DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS, PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management and implementation in a technical environment
  • Ability to track and monitor project progress, identify project and process gaps, recommend controls and communicate progress to business leaders
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to facilitate team meetings or present information to an audience
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of data warehouse or data mart concepts
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets
  • Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods



Job Expectations

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
