Job Description

This position will be tasked with enhancing our NDM (Network Data Mover) environment to a tier 2 environment, matching SWP. This will include implementing additional redundancy methods and enterprise scheduling and monitoring systems to all jobs going to and from SEI and Wells Fargo. There are hundreds of time sensitive and critical jobs that occur throughout the day (including time sensitive jobs that trade and settle client securities and move funds to and from client accounts) that will need to be set up and monitored in the new SWP environment.

In addition,this position will become part of the SWP support team that supports critical SEI environments (SIT, UAT, Advanced Recovery etc). This person would also provide the ability for extended support hours in the multiple SWP test environments to support west coast users.

The team member will be responsible for business solutions, technical operations, maintenance and relationship management between Trust Systems vendors, technical support teams, and business lines for Trust systems applications including SEI/Trust 3000. SEI Trust 3000 is the trust and investment accounting system. It supports the system-of-record data base that that accounts for all the assets held by Wells Fargo Bank on behalf of the Trust Utility consisting of 11 Trust business lines. This position will also actively participate in the support design of the Next Paradigm and SWP project, which will replace the SEI/Trust 3000 system, redefining process flows and have an impact on most applications and business lines supported within Trust Systems Technology. This will involve defining the support tiers and roles of the new system, as well as providing application support to the Next Paradigm project as they implement test environments and practice model exercises. Active participation in the Production/Scalability and advanced disaster recovery work streams.

Job role will include:

  • Act as a liaison between SEI, and other vendors, Trust Utility Business lines, and the technical organization by conducting, planning and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems. Ability to flush out root-cause assessments, current state, prioritizes, and recommends short-term and or long-term strategic solutions. Provide subject matter expertise with the business and operations requirements. Directly assist with production support needs as necessary in all areas within the department; statement support, Code Changes, SEI \ Wells Fargo Bank ABEND resolution, SEI night stream and intraday support.
  • Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Applies knowledge of trust and technology industry trends to drive change and position Wells Fargo for the future. Will consult and provide technical assistance in the support including the design of the new paradigm project support team, including defining the support tiers, roles, and procedures for the new system. Provide application support to the Next Paradigm project as test environments and processes are implemented along with practice model exercises. Participate in industry and internal high visibility projects.
  • Work with Compliance and Audit groups to provide research and correction of system access and procedural processes.
  • Participate in SEI Critical, Scalability, and Production support meetings and manage/drive issues and projects discussed. Recommends and initiates systems testing.
  • Direct and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.

**Candidate must be available to work the hours of 9 6 PM Pacific/12 - 9 PM Eastern**



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
  • 5+ years of 3rd party vendor application production support experience

  • SWP experience (SEI Wells Fargo Platform)
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships for products or services and SLA management
  • ALM documentation including WAM entry experience
