Business Systems Analyst

job summary:

Our client is looking for a Business Systems Analyst for a 6 month project in Rancho Cordova, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Serves as a primary point of contact with CLIENT project staff and/or clients to define the business and technical requirements of assigned projects.

- Responsible for gaining a detailed understanding of components of the business and translating that knowledge into the requirements for systems or processes

- Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with users to identify, define, and confirm system requirements

- Lead intermediate to moderate requirements development including work plan development that includes task, timeline, and resource management.

- Audits, evaluates, tracks, and reports implementation and activity of project applications for QA/QC compliance.

- Designs, documents and produces ad-hoc reports for supported projects that tabulate, summarize, and report data to support project activities.

- Evaluates and recommends enhancements to application efficiency and reliability.

- Assists with system support activities to address requested changes and enhancements.

- Performs normal administrative functions associated with a professional position, such as time reporting, forecasting, and project status reporting.

- May work outside of normal work schedule as needed.

- Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Associates' degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, computer science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- 4+ years of experience with requirements management

- Experience in SDLC

- Demonstrated analytical skills

- Ability to solve problems quickly and accurately

- Ability to tabulate, extract, graph and analyze data

- Experience with PC and related software, that includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer software applications

- Experience with Windows and desktop operating systems

- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

- Ability to successfully execute many tasks simultaneously

- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Knowledge of state government

- 1+ year of health care industry experience preferred

- Experience with systems testing

- Experience in project management
