ITeDS (IT e Discovery) is seeking a Business Systems Consultant to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to help drive ITeDS operations. The candidate will become a critical part of a highly-qualified team of professionals possessing diverse and complementary backgrounds.

Activities will include routine tasks as wells as higher-level consultation to ensure projects are structured and end-to-end solutions are delivered as expected. Manage and report multiple initiatives concurrently.

Responsible for building and managing solid relationships with peers, business partners, vendors and internal technology team. Facilitate technology planning, integration, and reporting to all stakeholder audiences. Ensure that consumers of ITeDS data receive the most appropriate services to meet their needs. The candidate will work across the firm's technology organization to coordinate and leverage enterprise technology.

Solicit on-going business partner feedback. Ensure feedback is properly processed into ITeDS long-term planning. Ensure appropriate documentation. Demonstrates sound decision making which reflects an understanding of the firms business and its priorities. Demonstrates outstanding flexibility, teamwork and leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acts as a liaison between ITeDS, Legal, TOG Technology, and Vendors by planning, coordinating, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved. Managing successful relationships with technology managers and legal professionals to proactively understand and support the technology needs of eDiscovery.
  • Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of the organization. Reports status updates and escalation issues concisely. Combines critical thinking, knowledge of systems, and ability to think big into effective IT eDiscovery strategy. Capable of driving the implementation of IT eDiscovery strategy.
  • Drives the results of matrix-based teams including Project Managers, Application Engineers, and Vendor contacts. Drives the results, conveying a sense of urgency and bringing issues to closure despite obstacles. Must possess ability to take initiative and have heightened sense of urgency, prioritization, and resolve.
  • Extracts, evaluate and translate legal discovery requirements into functional design documentation, testing, communication and implementation plans. Providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Conducts analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, process documentation, systems enhancement, user training, and/or software procurement. Documents requirements and writing specifications to build solutions and/or customize and integrate vended solutions. Identifies, evaluates, and develops systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Works with team to coordinate training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes to eDiscovery process.
  • Evaluates new and emerging technologies, vendors and business models. Maintains a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology.

Who We Are:

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business operations, implementation, or strategic planning; or 1+ year of legal experience which includes the review, evaluation and response to agency, law firm, or regulatory inquiries

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+ years of SharePoint experience
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of EDRM, legal hold, legal defensibility, fraud and eDiscovery data collections
  • Experience with Audit, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Regulatory, and Information Security
