Job Description

Corporate Properties Technology (CPT) provides technology enablement and support services to Wells Fargos Corporate Properties Group (CPG) responsible for the management of WF Real Estate assets. To support our business partners strategic objectives implementation of a robust Business Intelligence self-service analytics operating model is in progress. The current suite of Business Intelligence solutions includes a back-end data warehouses (SAP Business Warehouse and SQL) and several front-end analytic tools, including, WEBI, Tableau, MS Excel, MS Access, etc. This role will collaborate with functional business areas, strategic leaders and technology teams to assess business needs and make strategic recommendations for the development and execution of the future BI technology roadmap.

The qualified candidate should have proven experience and expertise in the implementation of Business Intelligence data warehousing and analytics solutions and a thorough understanding of ETL process development, dimensional and relational database modeling/design, star schema data architecture, data profiling and system optimization. A solid understanding of the E2E software development lifecycle and production support pipeline management. Ability to work with multiple project managers, business partners, technology partners and vendors to drive secure, cost effective and efficient solutions.

We are seeking a candidate who will:

  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to other less experienced technical staff within the team
  • Acts as a lead in providing solution design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of available and emerging BI technologies
  • Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff
  • Ensuring compliance with IT policy, procedures, and guidelines in product development and maintenance processes

The preferred work location is Charlotte, NC. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC without relocation assistance.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 6+ years of analytics experience
  • 6+ years of reporting experience
  • 6+ years of data modeling experience
  • 5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • 2 + years of technology management experience
  • 2+ years of Tableau experience
  • 1+ year of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring
  • 1+ year of project management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 10+ years of business intelligence experience
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational database concepts, querying, data warehousing, ETL process, requirements gathering and/or decision support tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of database modeling techniques and theory
  • Knowledge and understanding of data dimensional modeling
  • Knowledge and understanding of database design/modeling logical and physical
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational database designing schema, stored procedures, and views for performance with large data sets
  • Knowledge and understanding of Big Data
  • Knowledge and understanding of Hadoop
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to author compelling presentations and detail system architecture and data flow diagrams
  • Experience leading technical project team, managing day-to-day activities, ensuring timely and quality deliverables and providing regular status updates to PMO
  • Experience consulting with internal clients and business
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used to: develop interactive dashboards and scorecards
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Thorough understanding of ETL process development, dimensional and relational database modeling/design, star schema data architecture, data profiling and system optimization.
  • Technical experience in administration data warehouse solutions such as SAP Business Warehouse, Teradata, Oracle, and/or MS SQL Server experience
  • Experienced in the administration and implementation of analytics tools such as SAP Business Objects, Tableau project server, Microsoft SSAS/SSIS, Essbase, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in big data and cloud computing platforms and open source software frameworks such as Amazon Web Services and Hadoop
  • Wells Fargo experience
