The Data Management Solutions (DMS) organization within Data Management & Insights provides holistic and consistent data management capabilities to Wells Fargo. This includes data domain management, data quality monitoring, metadata management, data lake management, and master/reference data management.

This newly created role will partner with Data Management Solutions/Data Management & Insight leaders and line of business/technology partners to plan and execute strategic objectives, ensure alignment to overall enterprise data management strategy and drive business execution. This role focuses on leading, supporting, and/or delivering complex business transformation initiatives by identifying, designing, and implementing data management solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Define DMS approaches and processes to support execution of domain management, data quality monitoring, metadata management, data lake management, and master/reference data management activities
  • Develop and maintain short and long range roadmaps across all DMS teams
  • Drive coordination activities within DMS and other stakeholders (e.g., DMI, Lines of Business, EIT, Data Transformation Program, etc.)
  • Enable development of DMS strategic approaches by providing insight leveraging organizational and industry best practice knowledge
  • Identify and analyze efficiency opportunities and dependencies across DMS teams
  • Lead development of presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead team financial/budget activities and coordinate with the finance and other DMI stakeholders
  • Ensure DMS achieves strategic objective execution and alignment against committed timelines
  • Serve as information resource to internal stakeholder groups including business partners, EIT, and audit etc.
  • Address ad-hoc business execution needs as they arise

The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers financial needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 3+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business, finance, or economics
  • 5+ years of data analysis experience
  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services consulting
  • Experience consulting, influencing and partnering with business executives, leadership, human resources partners and peers
  • 3+ years of data management experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking regulatory agencies
  • Broad knowledge of application and infrastructure environments
  • Experience working with internal auditors
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results
  • Previous experience at top consulting organization
  • Driven, confident, organized and an accomplished problem solver
  • Experience with large-scale technology implementations

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
