Job Description

This position will report directly to head of Technology Risk Business Services (TRM) and will provide support to the TRM leader and leadership team. May also provide support to Technology Risk managers one to two levels down and will provide general guidance to lower level Technology Risk staff. This is a key role and will be deeply involved in the management and strategic planning of the Technology Risk Management function. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the Business Management function within the Technology Risk Business Services organization
  • Review, enhance and implement business management processes
  • Act as Technology Risk liaison to internal support groups such as HR, risk and finance. May also be Technology Risk point of contact to other internal groups as appropriate.
  • Ensure timely response to all management reporting requests and ensure manager meets all deliverables/timelines.
  • Act as an internal consultant for the Technology Risk team using quality tools & resources; provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff. Collaborate in navigating the organization to effectively create efficiency and remove redundant/unnecessary processes.
  • Actively identify, lead, facilitate and/or prioritize key Technology Risk strategic initiatives and help in understanding and planning for initiatives.
  • Help determine Technology Risk strategic planning objectives and monitor key performance indicators for all strategic initiatives/MBOs.
  • Anticipate, manage preparation and facilitate Technology leadership meetings and events; manage priorities to best leverage their calendar
  • Manage the workforce and location strategy for Technology Risk Management
  • Participate in budget discussions where appropriate
  • Ability to react to ad hoc inquiries

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: business process, quality assurance, strategic planning, or project management
  • 6+ years of management experience

  • Financial reporting experience
  • Strong analytical skills including analysis of financial metrics
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills

  • Strong, demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization, including experience in effectively communicating in a global organizational structure
  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to partner and work effectively with other business units particularly finance partners
  • Understanding of Wells Fargos Enterprise Information Technology budget process
  • Technical environment experience with broad technical knowledge
  • Willingness to work East Coast hours

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
