Role Overview

Enterprise Technology Infrastructure Business Services (ETIBS) will design and develop the Strategy plans for the business and then drive business management, monitoring and execution of those plans towards our future goals. The ETIBS group is a critical component of the Infrastructure operating model and is focused on providing critical business services to the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure organization. Building, monitoring, maintaining and securing our technology infrastructure is one of Wells Fargos highest priority as we continue to satisfy our customers and internal partners needs.

The Business Operations Management leadership position is responsible for the operational monitoring, Analysis, Reporting and Financials (and other key performance indicators) of the Technology infrastructure group. This role is the owner of the monthly business review which is essential for executive mgmt. to understand the health of the group and report not only status but quantify and qualify risks and opportunities within the business. This role and its team, is key to measuring the success of KPIs towards our long term and short term strategic plans. This leadership role leads all business financial planning, capacity planning, financial operations and demand mgmt. through rigorous insights, analytics and reporting.

Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes

The Business Operations Management leadership position leader will partner with the ETI Business Service leader and other core management to provide data driven oversight, incite, analysis, governance and SME knowledge for the needs of the area. This will enable the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure group to more effectively own, manage and govern the business and operational financial goals.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead a fast paced analytics team supporting Wells Fargos Technology infrastructure Group. Building, reporting, monitoring, and analyzing key performance indicators, which include but are not limited to: Capacity, Availability, Risk, Change Management, Product & Asset Portfolio, Financial, Delivery (Volume & Speed), Technology Currency, Vendor KPIs, Opportunities lifecycle mgmt., capacity, costs, etc.
  • Provide leadership with the health and transformation of data that will support recommended business adjustments and areas of opportunity to impact business outcomes. This will involve assessing goals and measurement standards with functional leaders and business partners to achieve short term and long-term results.
  • Build relationships and partner with the business to understand the core business issues/problems, use this information as a basis to perform complex analytical analysis and then synthesize findings into actionable executive level communications and recommendations. The business you support requires strategies that leverage best practices from both quantitative and qualitative decisioning. Your value will not only come from being able to analyze data, but from thinking creatively and partnering successfully with other stakeholders to implement practical solutions (short term and long term).
  • Participates in the formulation and articulation of vision for analytic opportunities and advancements. Evaluates, recommends and implements strategies for developing and utilizing technical resources to predict, improve and measure the success of fundamentals and new initiatives linked to business outcomes.
  • Manages team of Senior consultants for modeling, reporting and/or data distribution tools and processes
  • Works side by side with ETI Business Planning and Strategy leader, Major Initiatives leader and Product and services team to enablement leadership and to identify, recommend and lead proactive change in the group
  • Governs all business centric productivity tools and technologys that help run the business
  • Provide business office and decision support to other ETI business unit management
  • Works with Corporate Properties Group, EIT COO Team and EIT CIO directs and their teams to meet our short and long term space needs and contributing to overall EIT real estate strategy.

Manages ETI approval process for team member requisitions, MRS resources and SOWs.



Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: business process, quality assurance, strategic planning, or project management
  • 6+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of strategic planning and development experience
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Management experience in an matrixed organization environment
  • Senior level leadership experience managing a complex organization including senior managers, managers, individual contributors and vendor resources across multiple global locations
  • Knowledge and understanding of data mapping, mining, or modeling
  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Experience driving and leading organizational change in a dynamic environment
  • Experience developing and executing business vision, strategies, and goals.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 10+ of Senior management experience
  • A seasoned financial services executive with progressive experience leading a business analytics, modeling or finance organization
  • Ability to develop and integrate statistical/analytical approaches to Operational activities to achieve performance optimization and gain strategic insights & forecasting
