One of the leading custom equipment manufacturing company is looking for a "Business Development Manager" in Detroit, MI. This is a direct hire and a remote position. The candidate will mainly work in southeast MI area.Ideal candidate will have supervising Sales Manager from Automotive and automation equipment sales. This candidates needs to have a technical and engineering background. Salary is anywhere between $75k-$105k plus commission and potential . Please apply immediately.

Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager

  • Develop, initiate and execute a penetration plans. Responsible for sales from assigned accountsand market sectors.
  • Contributes to meeting team, sales and market plans by retaining and growing profitablecustomer relationships.
  • Travels to customer's site to promote the capabilities of company; work with customer todetermine initial concepts and feasibility of potential automation and Contract MFG projects.
  • Develop strategic sales and marketing plans for each account and prospective client inconjunction with overall segment and organizational objectives
  • Forecasting and Budget
  • Supervise and support the activities of Account Managers
  • In regards to price, schedule, terms and conditions and other commercial issues, the BusinessDevelopment Manager will operate within the parameters prescribed by the Director ofOperations.

Requirements for the Business Development Manager

  • 7-10 years of successful and verifiable experience of strategic selling and negotiation skills in"solution and systems sales" of capital equipment or industrial automation.
  • Demonstrated "Hunter" mentality when it comes to identifying prospects and turning them intoclients.
  • Must demonstrate the drive and motivation to sell and enjoy the challenge of selling in theindustrial automation/manufacturing solutions industry.
  • Strong presentation skills in order to present to internal stakeholders and existing and potentialclients to sell technical concepts.
