Position Overview:

The position requires a quality-focused and detail oriented Business Analyst with a demonstrated track record of providing solutions for high-priority business goals and strategic management decisions. The incumbent should be a skilled troubleshooter and problem solver with the ability to translate business processes and problem statements into requirements. The incumbent must be conversant with all stages of SDLC and be able to deliver results within tight timelines.

- Min. 7 years of direct experience in business analysis, data and process modeling techniques. Experience with the Rational Unified Process (data flow diagrams, activity hierarchy diagrams, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, data models) is highly desired. Experience with at least one standard methodology is required.

Thorough understanding and experience in Private Equity Funds Investments

Advanced degrees in technology and/or finance

5+ years of business analysis experience on highly complex financial IT projects.

Experience with projects in multiple technologies and platforms.

Thorough understanding of investment processing related to guarantee and loan operations

Excellent communication and facilitation skills

Ability to clearly document the real need not merely the business want

Ability to lead the business to a solution that will meet their true needs.

Ability to understand the client's personal style and match with equal style that is not threatening (e.g., to a detailed style: provide detail, to a conceptual thinker: keep it high level).

Efficiency and discipline: Able to work on multiple tasks at the same time, excellent planning and coordination ability.

Excellent writing/documentation skills.

Outstanding analytical skills.

Ability to quickly gain an understanding of system/business processes and interact with mid-level business users to extract business process details.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong process analysis skills and ability to suggest improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of solutions based on industry best practices

- Knowledge of business analysis best practices (such as BABOK) and ability to effectively apply them

- Advanced knowledge of specific business area, process, workflows, standards, and business practices

- Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate well with all levels, technical as well as non-technical stakeholders

- Ability to work directly with clients and management without supervision and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus

- Leadership skills and ability to work well with diverse team members, often in multiple locations

- Ability to work with different points-of-view and lead the team to convergence, while always keeping the project objectives in sight

- Strong presentation and facilitation skills

- Excellent personal organization skills and ability to take things to closure without follow-ups

Desired Skills/Abilities (not required but a plus):

- Certificate such as IIBA

- Knowledge and experience in COTS implementation as BA/BSA on COTS projects

- Experience in project management

Terms of Reference

The Business Analyst will be responsible for the definition of new business processes, documentation of business requirements and guidance of the project from assessment through completion. He/she will lead brainstorming sessions with the business stakeholders.

The BA role is to understand the needs of the business users and translate these into specific project artifacts and deliverables that will be used by CIT to execute the IT work program. Their role is to capture client business needs and to document what is needed to meet those needs from an IT perspective.

Supervision and project management on all aspects of the project, including any components which are outsourced via a managed or staff-augmentation service arrangement

Develop strong familiarity with the IFCs system development methodology and IFC applications, processes and data.

Ensure completion of all project activities within IFCs - including interaction with other institutional program managers to coordinate delivery schedules, enterprise architecture, IV&V, information security and IT standards

Analyze and document IFC business processes and existing/proposed functionality of assigned system/project using the Rational toolset and specific artifacts (e.g., test cases, use case diagrams, use case specifications, class diagrams, activity diagrams, state transition diagrams, sequence diagrams).

Conduct/attend requirements definition meetings with end users and document system requirements.

Manage the defined scope and present change request to the users for approvals.

Collaborate with QA team to ensure Testing Strategy covers all Business Requirements

Coordinate test execution activities for IFC technical application testing and UAT (user acceptance testing)

Communicate proactively with other team members and business sponsors

Work with business sponsors and project team while undertaking testing of the application

Review IFC's policies, procedures and practices to determine specifications and requirements for any customizations

Organize the users group meeting and document all the issues

Document discussions (meeting minutes) and circulate to the group and obtain sign off to ensure all the participants are on the same page with regards to any issues
