THE OPPORTUNITY


We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help grow our web experience for kids on our new Adobe Experience Manager Platform. As part of our Technology Organization and Web CMS program, the Senior BA will also be working closely with senior level product owners and business stakeholders to translate the product vision into development-ready user stories, helping to prioritize development work based on ROI and working with Development and QA teams to put into production. This individual will become the SME for our current platform, Adobe Experience Manager, as well as a go-to resource for integrations with the full Adobe Marketing Cloud. They will also help to train our business users as well as mentor junior members of the BA team. The Lead BA will report to the Portfolio Management office and will set the standard for Business Analysts throughout our Technology Services organization.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


- This role will report to the Product Owner of AEM to lead the following:


- Work with business stakeholders to identify requirements and write user stories.


- Manage product backlog and prioritize with PO.


- Drive Agile adoption, adaptations, maturity, and strategy.


- Identify dependencies with other internal services and systems as well as external dependencies and help plan work for integrations.


- Support Scrum Teams in grooming and planning by having the ability to speak to the details of requirements and stories.


- Effectively communicate program expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.


- Build, demonstrate, and maintain a detailed knowledge of the AEM platform and other associated systems.


- Maintain a thorough familiarity of current business issues, objectives, and strategies and recognize issues and opportunities to optimally apply technology to enhance existing or build new business capabilities; ability to quickly understand the scope of a project and assist the business and technical team identify key success and risk factors.

- A solid understanding of content management systems and how they support content, user workflows and customer-facing features is critical.


- The candidate must also be able to effectively communicate expectations and timelines in a timely and clear fashion and have strong written communication skills.


- The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and have leadership / management experience.


- The individual should have experience managing teams, influencing without direct authority, and leading a team of business analysts.


- The role requires critical analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to establish strong working relationships with business stakeholders.


- The individual should be adept in telling stories through PowerPoint presentations and Visio diagrams/flows (and any other visual aid tools that are helpful for communications and alignment).


Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree or better


- 5+ years of experience in working in Business Process, Product Development/Management, and/or Education Services for large IT related projects


- Past experience in a business-analyst type of role (at least ~5 years)


- Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner


- Understand of content and product development processes and technologies


- Expertise in the education K-12 sector, with K-5 specific experience a plus!


- Experienced at creating and maintaining all process relevant documentation: requirements documents, process flows, data mapping, standard operation procedures


- Experience working with technology and business SMEs to document as-is and to-be processes and data requirements


- Experience with content management systems and large data migrations


- Experience with CMS platforms


- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and the Adobe Marketing Cloud a huge plus


- Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills


- Strong attention detail and commitment to customer service


- Exceptional presentation skills


- Experience or certification in Agile


- Leadership and management experience (at least ~2-4 years)


- Experience facilitating and defining minimum viable products for releases


- Ability to solution based on business needs and develop alternatives


- Ability to understand and manage through dependencies in the technology architecture


- Experience writing and reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria; Experience working with tech teams (dev/QA)


- Ability to prioritize work across competing efforts


- Experience working in Agile tools (e.g., JIRA)


- Enthusiastic team-player as well as a self-starter


- Passion to learn about digital technology influencing education and participate in activities that drive learning.


- UX or Design experience is a plus


- Business or marketing experience is a plus
