Job Description:


Client Information Technology (Client-IT) has established a business model which is closely aligned with the client business functional areas. The Large Program Management Services sub-portfolio under the Health Plan Business Information Organization is responsible for managing the delivery of all Large Program system capabilities needed to meet the functional needs of our Business Partners and is also focused on improving the effectiveness of the existing system capabilities utilized by our Business users.


Job Role:


Senior IT Consultant position will conduct Program Management (PMO) finance, scope management, change management, and leadership reporting functions. This position will report to the Senior Director of Membership Large Program Management Services.


The Senior IT Consultant will:



  • Conduct the monthly forecasting process, facilitating with Finance department counterparts and project managers across portfolios and project tracks
  • Recap actual results versus forecast, prepare variance analyses for stakeholders, and analyze current and past trends in metrics including operating expense, capital expense, and reserves
  • Prepare and present executive status reports to Program Leadership


Essential Functions:



  • Create Financial Reports and reconciliation for core and investment projects
  • Assist project managers with investment project financial, scope management, and change management tasks
  • Run RPM reports and perform financial analysis
  • Create, prepare and complete regularly scheduled status reports and dashboards
  • Facilitate meetings, creating appropriate agenda and minutes
  • Create and present reports and status to executive leaders
  • The ability to communicate well and work well with people is critical as this position will be a primary point of contact across portfolios as well as to the Business side.

  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including strong aptitude with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  3. Business Consulting experience in a mid-size to large corporation or consulting firm

Basic Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent experience


- 3 - 8 years related experience


- 3 - 5 years' experience in Budgeting and Financial Analysis


- Thorough knowledge of policies, practices and systems

- Complete understanding and ability to work independently in application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards


- Full knowledge of industry practices
