We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in CRM & Business Intelligence for our New York, NY office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that is motivated, able to multi task, lead vendors and teams, works closely with Marketing and Sales to gather requirements, etc.


The desired candidate will work as a data and technical business analyst on our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) big data platform for Marketing with focus on business intelligence, reporting and analytics. The reporting and analytics components of the CRM platform is comprised of big data (Hadoop) technology used for enterprise marketing reporting (e.g. name acquisition, CRM generated sales, campaign performance) and broader data enablement for ad hoc analytics. The candidate should be experienced working within marketing, customer and/or retail/CPG data demonstrating broad sales and marketing understanding within the context of business intelligence.


The responsibilities of this role includes but not limited to:


* Data; hands on data sourcing, analyze the data for quality, harmonize the data and work with sources to finalize requirements, develop feeds, document business rule transformations and work with development team to implement. Perform detailed reconciliations between data sets.


* Contribute to implementations for enhancements/projects and ability to communicate clearly issues, risks and status updates to developed plans and dashboards


* Understand data architecture, data flows and contribute to the overall application ecosystem


* Iterate with the business and technology to define and develop coherent and visually aesthetic and graphic based business intelligence and dashboards


* Provide production support on data issues and processes in a challenging and time crunch environment working closely with business, vendor, and data teams to resolve the issues


* Maintain various documents on projects such as use cases, process flows and other related project documents and adheres to life cycle documentation


Qualifications


* Must thrive in an dynamic/agile, team environment with an entrepreneurial spirt and desire to contribute.


* Strong experience with SQL and working with large data sets


* Experience in hands on data mapping and data ware housing concepts and reporting platforms, working with Big Data, Hadoop a plus.


* Experience working in CPG/Retail industry and knowledge of marketing business function is a plus.


* Capable of working to resolving production issues in a stressful and time critical environment.


* Previous BI development experience is a plus; experience with TIBCO Spotfire is a plus.


* Experience working with offshore project/development teams .


* Strong testing and quality assurance mindset. Must be able to craft detailed test plans and test cases to ensure final deliverables meet specifications.


* Excellent oral and written communication skills
