Job Description Project Overview:

  • This project requires frontend web development expertise (JavaScript, SASS, HTML) as well as a solid understanding of backend development (Python, AppEngine/Google Cloud, Google Drive API).
  • The developer will support the maintenance and feature development of a website showcasing styleguides which drive the look, feel, voice and tone of Google's online and product presence.
  • You will partner closely with the Material Design Engineering team as well as the Google Marketing team to deliver a high quality informational website which directs
  • Google employees and rostered agencies on how to apply the Google brand across digital, print and packaging mediums.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Partner actively with Google Material and Google Marketing to support and develop features for the website.
  • Become an expert developing features and fixing bugs for an internally developed content management system.
  • Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from Marketing and Engineering partners.
  • Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Push technology, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching (and solving) a problem.

  • Fixing existing bugs with the site.
  • Developing new features site. Integrate the Material Design spec into site.
  • BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience developing websites and applications.

  • Expert understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and JavaScript development.
