Job Description

The Enterprise Counterparty Credit Risk Technology (ECCRT) department provides software solutions to support Corporate, Line of Business and Enterprise Counterparty Credit Risk teams. ECCRT works with its business partners in identification, measurement, aggregation and reporting of Counterparty Credit Risk across the firm. The department works closely with the lines of business to ensure that risks are being appropriately managed within the defined risk appetite for the firm.

The credit risk systems perform valuation, simulation, aggregation and reporting of risk metrics and models on complex structured and derivatives security products. Team members will work with advanced mathematical models, theoretical pricing, statistical and stochastic models, PFE (Potential Future Exposure), IMM (Internal Model Methodology), and stress. The credit risk systems are comprised of intraday and overnight batch processes that handle staging for all trading position data and market data required for risk modeling as well as making this data available to the various risk valuation systems. The metrics generated by ECCRTs quantitative models and risk calculations feed into trading flows, regulatory reporting flows and senior management reporting.

The role will involve the following:

  • Analyze, design and implement complex analytics and reporting flows for critical management reporting and regulatory processes within ECCRT
  • Leverage existing tools (SSIS, SSRS, SQL) and adopt new strategic tools to improve reporting and analytics
  • Work directly with the business to understand requirements and architect and implement technology solutions for the Counterparty Credit Risk area
  • Work with technology services groups to troubleshoot problems and optimize performance
  • Plan, perform, and act as the escalation point for analytics and reporting flows
  • Work across regions on projects and review and critique architectural design and implementation work


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of capital markets experience
  • 5+ years of database experience
  • 1+ year of Java experience
  • 3+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 5+ years of data modeling experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
  • 4 + years of SQL Server SSIS, SSRS and SSAS experience
  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience



Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of data analysis experience
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Solid critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience
  • Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk Management and related Capital calculation is a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrable knowledge of technology solutions, combined with capital markets & investment banking domain knowledge;
  • Knowledge of at least one investment banking product set (e.g. Rates, Credit, etc);
  • Knowledge of at least one risk discipline (e.g. Counterparty Credit, Market, Issuer, etc);
  • Ability to communicate across business and technology groups;
  • Ability to lead projects to successful conclusion
