Treasury, Merchant and Payment Solutions group within Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) is seeking Apps System Engineer 5 positions. This is a senior level Engineer position and primary responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing business requirements, design and develop systems to support payment processing in SWIFT core applications.

This position requires a a self-motivated and results oriented team member. He/she plays a pivotal role in designing, developing and managing applications for this group, provides leadership in the implementation of programs/platforms/initiatives with cross-functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary.

Key responsibilities for this individual will include:

Acts as a lead developer and engineer in developing and supporting applications. Work closely with business partners in defining the Platform requirements. Building Design artifacts based on business functional and non-functional requirements, then work with other members of the Development and QA teams to socialize and update design. Help manage and communicate platform status, project pipeline and development priorities Create and review development estimates from development teams with senior management and actively seek clarification and verification as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have the ability to meet tight time lines in a highly dynamic & fast paced environment.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of application development and implementation experienceA BS/BA degree or higher7+ years of information technology experience7+ years of Java experience7+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)3 + years of experience administering, supporting or engineering SWIFT Applications (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication)

Desired Qualifications

Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills3+ years of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) experience3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services3 + years of experience with Elasticsearch development, integration or support3+ years of experience in Hadoop ecosystem tools for real-time batch data ingestion, processing and provisioning such as Apache Flume, Apache Kafka, Apache Sqoop, Apache Flink, Apache Spark or Apache Storm3+ years of Tableau experience1+ year of experience with in-memory databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or CassandraAbility to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple prioritiesAbility to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organizationAgile experienceExperience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements which may include workflows, process maps, or business processes

Job Expectations

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
