Job Description

Within the WYSTAR (Record Keeping System) area of Institutional Retirement, this individual shall be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of back office solutions using Java, Groovy/ Grails, SQL, and other technologies. This position also requires the individual to help the application support team resolve any production incidents pertaining to their area of expertise. Provide 3rd tier Production Support and potentially work off hours and weekend support of release activities.



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • 5+ years of stored procedures development experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software development experience using Java, SQL, SQL Stored Procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with QA teams, business analysts, and other groups within IRT
  • Financial industry or 401(k) retirement plan experience
  • Experience with Angular2
  • Experience with Groovy/ Grails framework
  • Experience with C/ C++
  • Experience with Cobol
  • Experience analyzing/ writing stored procedures
  • Oracle DB/ Exadata
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert and lead a team
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and transform those requirements into business rules
  • Ability to analyze quantitative or qualitative data
  • Ability to assess issues and implement solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of high level designs, low level designs, and process flows
  • Agile and Scrum experience
