Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Development across multiple business driven technology initiatives. The Data Services engineer will work onshore and offshore teams on the information architecture, design and implementation of database systems using state of art design and implementation techniques. Design and implement highly distributed, scalable processes - Staging, Data Enrichments using SSIS/Talend, SQL, Strong data enrichment & delivery techniques using C#or Java, Microsoft SQL Server,SSIS,TFS,Autosys and Unix. The Data Services engineer is expected to work closely with business partners and analysts in order to understand the data requirements and to analyze and design the necessary data flow and database design. Assures quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications. Data Services developer should be strong in performance tuning and designing high data volume for high performance through put on a daily basis. The successful candidate will need to have advanced information delivery and development skills in order to create effective data solutions that can be easily maintained and extended to meet the growing demands In-depth understanding of entity relationship design, data normalization & relational modeling techniques Effectively communicate data design to other members of the team to ensure proper implementation and utilization of the data structures. Support ongoing ETL efforts for Development, QA and Production environments. Experienced with code management, change management and deployment controls and processes. Pays attention to details and has strong communication skills both in verbal and written and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and business users.Required Qualifications

7+ years of application development and implementation experience5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience3+ years of C# .NET or Java development experience5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience5+ years of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) experience6+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata5+ years of experience in application & data architecture and solution design5+ years of Agile experience5+ years of source/version control tools experience

Desired Qualifications

Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills3 + years of Team Foundation Server (TFS) experienceKnowledge and understanding of capital markets or tradingBanking industry experienceKnowledge and understanding of Big DataStrong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problemsAbility to manage multiple and competing prioritiesAbility to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environmentAbility to communicate effectively with business partners and project managersAbility to develop and promote creative alternatives as a way to solve for business requirementsKnowledge and understanding of multiple source code version control systems in working with branches, tags and labelsKnowledge and understanding of technical documentation: creation of detailed design and technical artifactsHadoop experienceA BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

Other Desired Qualifications Experience creating relevant SDLC documentation/deliverables as part of standard project implementations (architecture & design documents, deployment diagrams, source code, scripts, any necessary documentation, etc.) Ability to collaborate with the managers to identify key solutions for regulatory obligations, risks, risk mitigations and review technical deliverables during the entire project life cycle. High level of proficiency in working with systems required to effectively process large volumes of both real-time and batch transactions. Experience defining data model development methodologies, principles, standards, and governance.
