Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) at Wells Fargo is seeking an Apps Systems Engineer COBOL developer to support Receivables customer implementations, small enhancements, and limited production research and support. The team member will be part of the development solution, and will be assigned tasks related to customer implementations and minor enhancements.

Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate must be customer focused as an application developer with an emphasis on analyzing business requirements, creating function/technical designs, and code development utilizing COBOL in a DB2 database environment. CICS screen development and support experience is required. The developer should have skills working with mainframe software tools including Fault Analyzer, Debug Tool, and File Manager. Developer responsibilities will also include performance tuning and testing of mainframe code, troubleshooting performance problems, working closely with the production support team, partnering with the line of business, preparing code for deployment and completing all necessary SDLC documentation. The ability to communicate with other Technology Teams across the Enterprise will be a major factor in successfully supporting the application. Working on some nights and weekends may be required throughout the year to meet a demanding production code deploy and support schedule.

Additional duties & expectations are varied and may include one or more of the following:

Ability to analyze complex business requirements. Analyzes, designs, and writes functional and technical specifications. Ability to review these specifications with team members from the business community and peers. Provides code development guidance to less experienced members on the team. Develops original and complex code. Participates in overall systems testing. Leads the migration of application code to production. Develops and maintains application documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.Required Qualifications

5+ years of CICS experience5+ years of Cobol experience5+ years of DB2 experience5+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience5+ years of z/OS experience2+ years of Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) experience1+ year of experience with Agile development in a mainframe environment4+ years of experience developing web pages on a mainframe platform such as HTML, JQuery and JavaScript5+ years of experience with FIS VECTOR Connexion Financial EDI System5+ years of application development and implementation experience

Experience with IBM z/OS utilities; Fault Analyzer, Debug Tool, and File Manager.Salary Information
