The organization is now poised to not only deliver, but successfully optimize our applications technology solutions and continue to mature our broker/author model.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in a role as an Application Systems Engineer.

In this role, you will pprovide technical consultation and support in the development of computer applications and programs. You will also be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designs and writing technical specifications to design or redesign computer solutions; as well as developing original and/or complex code or providing coding direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leads and/or performs modeling, simulations and analysis efforts.
  • Participates in overall systems testing to include verifying program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.
  • Leads the migration of applications to production.
  • Develops new documentation, participates in the development of department technical procedures and designs user guides.
  • Acts as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
  • Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff including offshore.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.
  • Help oversee the team's server system Operating System patching, middleware, java upgrades and various Safety and Soundness efforts

The team member selected for this role must possess the ability to learn new skills and improve upon their current skills-set, a high degree of efficiency and motivation in work habits with the ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment as well as the ability to comprehend complexity, to fully understand a product with all of its business and technological implications, and to approach the improvement of its quality from that perspective.

Please note: This position is only open to applicants in Phoenix, AZ. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance, therefore, you must reside in or around the target location or be able to relocate at your own expense.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of network automation development through scripting
  • Knowledge and understanding of automated testing frameworks for mobile software
  • Ability to manage projects or programs following a Standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) approach, with scheduled release code deployments
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects

Other Desired Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science and/or related discipline
  • Substantial experience in designing, coding, and using test automation frameworks
  • Experience with create, execute and debug code using RubyMine, Eclipse or equivalent
  • Ability to utilize Automation Testing Framework to create Robust/Reliable/Repeatable automation test suite.
  • Experience scripting in at least one language Java or Ruby preferred
  • Hands-on Experience with cross browsers automation testing using Selenium and/or Watir
  • Experience with responsive UI automation of mobile applications using Selenium ,Awetest and Galen
  • Experience automating tests for mobile devices, iPad, and tablet simulators in Mac OSX
  • Experience with smartphone and tablets hosted at mobile labs such as Perfecto Mobile , Device Connect Mobile Labs or similar laboratories
  • Experience with Accessibility testing using Ruby and Deque libraries.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Source Control tools such as Jenkins, SVN, Subversion or equivalent.
  • Experience with using Firebug, Firepath, Chrome dev tool or equivalent
  • Substantial experience in component-based test design both manual and automated tests.
  • Experience in identifying & providing test automation solutions to reduce testing cycles on repeated tasks.
