Wells Fargo Wholesale Technology Services is is seeking an Application Systems Engineer 4 for the ProfitView application. ProfitView is a Wholesale profitability system that calculates relationship profitability for Wholesale relationships. This position will be responsible for development and support of Oracle ADF, Oracle BI, and automated test scripts using Ruby and Cucumber.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Analyzes business requirements, provides estimates for the project, and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.
  • Creates test design, test strategy and test cases for the ProfitView application.
  • Develops and builds automation test scripts using Watir Webdriver and Ruby programming language.
  • Develops test cases in Cucumber feature files using the Test Driven Develoment (TDD) methodology.
  • Executes automation scripts, analyzes and reports the results of the execution in the Awetest Framework.
  • Builds scripts to support the scenario validation from the Profit View front end to the Oracle database
  • Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
  • Works closely with business partners to evaluate business requirements, plan projects and participate in efficient development, delivery and deployments.
  • Responsible for collaborating with interface partners as well as ensuring quality throughout the process.
  • Participate as needed in compliance, risk and regulatory processes within Wells Fargo.
  • Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 3+ years of experience building and executing automated tests (not Record & Playback)



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years direct experience with Selenium Web-Driver (Ruby/Java)
  • 3+ years experience designing and building Keyword driven frameworks (using Excel, MySQL)
  • 3+ years as a lead tester (understanding requirements, defining test cases, building test plans, allocating and monitoring team tasks)
  • Solid Understanding of STLC (Software Testing Lifecycle)
  • Experience using various IDE Tools such as Oracle JDeveloper
  • Experience using Weblogic, Web Services, EJB 3.0, JSF, Java, JSP, Servlets, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML
  • Experience with OBIEE and Oracle ADF integration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be detail oriented and thorough
  • Ability to work effectively with business and technical professionals
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Proven abilities working within large, complex projects
  • Previous experience with Wholesale technology projects
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels within an organization
  • Self-motivated
