The Check Image Server team, part of Payments Virtual Solutions Innovation (PVSI) Treasury Merchant and Payments group, is seeking an Application Systems Engineer that is ready to have a variety of development tasks. Wells Fargo's check image archive is one of the largest in the nation storing and retrieving millions of images per month.

Specifically, this individual will be responsible for tasks including application design, writing and changing code, testing, implementing code and maintaining documentation, along with fulfilling quality, security and compliance requirements. Furthermore there is partnership and interaction with other application support teams, business and operations staff.Finally, there is new development opportunities involving new service technology and cloud deployments.It is a great opportunity to be part of a strong development team.

The team is seeking an individual that has some leadership experience, is an excellent problem solver, has strong verbal and written communication skills and has the ability to work in a rapid development environment.

Job Details Include:

Analyzing highly complex business requirements designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Verifying program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Creatinig and submitting Software Development Life Cycle requirements. Participating in overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Developing new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Assuring quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area, as well as, overseeing creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. Participating in production/test oncall rotations.Required Qualifications

5+ years of application development and implementation experience

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsKnowledge and understanding of Fiserv/Check FreeKnowledge and understanding of technical design: detail design documentsKnowledge and understanding of Git or GitHub3+ years of Java experience3+ years of relational database experience3+ years of web applications experience2+ years of Oracle experience2+ years of financial industry experience1+ year of JIRA experience
