The Broker Training, Reporting and Finance team is a part of Enterprise Information Technology organization supporting the Brokerage Line of Business. The team is made up of Business Systems Analysts and Application System Engineers in the US and India that provide support for fourteen applications as well as provide business enhancements. The applications make extensive use of shared brokerage data to provide a variety of reporting to the Financial Advisors, Branch Managers and Back Office Support Staff and FINRA. This requires that each person on the team has an understanding of the Brokerage Business and the underlying data supporting their applications. Each individual has ownership responsibilities for multiple applications either from a BA or Technical perspective.

This ASC position will own several Applications. They will act as a technical resource to program/project staff in the plan development, testing, and implementation processes. They will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the available technology, tools, and existing designs and will work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in depth evaluation. This role will require coordination of assignments on multiple concurrent technology projects. They will work collaboratively with other IT team members, server, network, DBA, architecture, information security, data transmissions and project management support personnel.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform analysis to troubleshoot production support issues (web and batch) and determine resolution and root cause of issue.
Design, develop and debug web-based applications.
Follow all EASP practices in the development of code.
Follow full life-cycle development process.
Experience creating and debugging SQL.
Follow established development guidelines and best practices to maintain project deliverables
Ensure application design and code meets user interface standards (windows and reports).
Participate in design; update and development of design documentation as needed.
Report project status to Project Managers and/or Business Analyst
Assist in and/or create Release notes to migrate code through various environments
Conduct design walkthroughs, code walkthroughs as required
Identify tasks and work effort estimates, provide technical oversight and assist PMs in creation of project plans
Provide management with ongoing assessment of risk and escalate issues as appropriate


Required Qualifications

5+ years of application development and implementation experience3+ years of C#.NET experience3+ years of PL/SQL experience3+ years of Oracle experience

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills3+ years of application production support experienceAdvanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skillsA BS/BA degree or higher in information technologyFinancial industry experienceKnowledge and understanding of brokerage: systems or applications
