Job Description

Front office developer required to continue build of Equity Derivatives desktop platform for equity derivatives traders and other business users. Requires strong technical knowledge of Java/Linux. Must be able to write highly functional and performant code in a structured manner that can be applied to domains beyond equity derivatives. Successful applicant will help enhance, build and deliver application frameworks and specific functionality around trading and risk. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Design and build of new applications or work on existing apps
  • All aspects of the SDLC including testing, reviews etc.
  • Production Support as required


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 3+ years of Java experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of JDBC experience
  • 3+ years of Multi-Threading Experience
  • 2+ years of JIRA experience
  • 2+ years of Linux experience
  • 2+ years of POJO experience
  • 3+ years of information technology experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of network, distributed system, applications or event management disciplines

  • Knowledge and understanding of network monitoring technologies



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Work in an IB/Securities environment, especially front office role
  • 3+ years in Core Java development with strong understanding of memory management, concurrency, JNI, native I/O.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Thorough understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Excellent knowledge of distributed systems paradigms
  • Good understanding of Financial instruments
  • Oustanding communication skills as required for a front office role
