About the Application Product Center of Excellence:

We are the Technology Product Solutions Team under the Application Products Center of Excellence (aka APCoE). The APCoE is accountable for oversight and governance of the lifecycle management of all Application approved software products installed on Wells Fargo assets (i.e. servers and desktops). This team is responsible for providing solutions and managing vulnerabilities and lifecycle of Application products. This includes identification and validation of patches, upgrades, removals, configuration changes, creating solution gameplans with testing results, troubleshooting, and collaborating with internal and external partners for proper support of Application managed products.

This Application Support Engineer will work as part of the Product Solution Support Management group that will be responsible for patch identification and validation of all 3rd party products owned by APCoE. In addition, identify complex/embedded products, document solutions, create gameplans with testing results for security/non-security patches, upgrades/removals as well as provide technical support as needed.

This candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert for various database engines, associated services, connectors, and tools (i.e. SSDT, SSMS, Teradata Tools and Utilities). Responsible to engage various personnel to ensure that enterprise standards and product vulnerabilities are properly identified, solutions are created, and communicated to our partners in a timely manner. This role will also form how our current and future product offerings are serviced and secured within new and emerging application environments. Participates in Implementation Management and Vulnerability Operations teams on security and compliance related matters as they arise. Work with internal Information Security teams to identify, analyze, and share correlated and enriched threat Intel to assist incident response and threat detection, allowing faster time to action. Provides support for complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, databases, and other related products and services. This position will also provide software deployment support, Patch Maintenance across all Lines of Business. Requires leadership as it pertains to the implementation of software distribution projects, along with providing technical expertise as it relates to various complex risk/security related projects.

Job Functions

Provide support to application teams with deployment solutions for complex products and data challenges/issues. Develop projects and strategies to improve our security compliance and processes. Research, define solutions, and create gameplan for patches/upgrades, removals, and configuration changes of Application products. Lead, provide technical support, troubleshoot, and document solution gameplan during emergency vulnerabilities. Monitor various information sources to identify new cyber security threats and assess against our products and solutions. Gather and evaluate cyber threat business intelligence requirements for the LOBs by having regular discussions with key line of business personnel (e.g. operational risk personnel, technology managers, information security leaders, etc.). Collaborate with various WF organizations on all manners of security and compliance related business matters. Troubleshoot complex software application remediation issues. Issues to be resolved, require a broad range of troubleshooting skills related to: software functionality, application product setup, database management, data analysis, standalone/embedded products, and third party (vendor supported) products. Research, identify, and provide solutions for complex products (i.e. embedded, dependencies, bundled, database, etc.) Collaborate, troubleshoot, and provide guidance to applications and database teams with proper remediation solutions.Required Qualifications

7+ years of application development and implementation experience2+ years of experience working with business and technical requirement documents1+ years of experience analyzing requirements and designing new solutions for application and database components1+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata

Other Desired Qualifications Knowledge and experience of automation platforms such as HP Server Automation, Puppet, Ansible, and System Center Configuration Manager Preferred experience with Ansible and HPSA automation scripting languages (such as PowerShell, Python, VB scripts, etc.) Good understanding of software product functionality on servers and desktops (i.e. Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Apache, IBM, etc.) Experience with Windows server operating systems including building, supporting and advanced troubleshooting Ability to troubleshoot and provide implementation solutions for Windows and Linux software products with database componentsJob Expectations
