Job Description

We are currently looking to fill an Application Systems Engineer 4 position on the Wealth and Investment Management Technology Team supporting the Wells Fargo Advisors Line of Business. This role will analyze business requirements, design and write technical specifications to design or redesign applications. This role wlll also develop original and/or complex code or provide coding guidance to less experienced staff along with leading modeling, simulations and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Participates in overall systems testing. Leads the migration of applications to production. Develops new documentation, participates in the development of department technical procedures and designs user guides. As an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems. Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.

The application developer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application processes for Wealth Management technology. This position will provide Build & Deploy functions for Wealth Management Client and Advisor Tools applications, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology (Oracle, .NET, Autosys), tools using existing design patterns. Candidate will be responsible for supporting the Analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of application code for the applications.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 4+ years of .net experience
  • 4+ years of XML (Extensible Markup Language) experience
  • 2+ years of UI (User Interface) experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 4+ years of SQL experience
  • 4+ years of data analysis experience
  • 3+ years of financial services industry experience
  • 2+ years of application production support experience
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Prior Experience in leading development team(s)
  • Experience working directly with upper level business managers
  • 1+ year experience with Angular (2 or 4)
