We are currently looking to fill an App Systems Engineer 5 on the Wealth and Investment Management Technology Team. This role acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

The application batch processing developer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application batch processes in the Wealth Management technology space. This position will provide Build & Deploy functions for Wealth Management compliance applications, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology (Informatica PowerCenter, DB2, Oracle, Teradata, Autosys), tools (IBM Data Studio, ER studio, Shell scripts, PL-SQL), and existing design patterns. Candidate will be responsible for owning the Analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of Database, ETL and Autosys jobs for the applications.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of Informatica experience
  • 5+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • 2+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Autosys experience
  • PL/SQL experience
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of full life cycle application development
  • Knowledge and understanding of wealth and investment management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Data modeling experience
