Job Description

Our Team Member Technologies (TMT) group is looking for an Analytics Consultant that will be involved in reporting, data management and inventory, and application solutions to meet the demands of end user device management priorities. This role is critical in helping Technology with achieving its operational short and longer term goals offering a variety of solutions based on business requirements and environmental demands. Our goal is to support the greater vision, serving as an informational gateway for data intelligence and ultimately drive decision making, motivate change and minimize risk.

Responsible for very complex internal customer assignments to identify and define strategic business issues that require analyses and translates this information into insight, knowledge and understanding of the business and the industry. Performs very complex analyses and analysis design involving data mining and predictive modeling, multivariate, financial, or comparative analysis. Responsibilities also include identifying opportunities for additional statistical or building data models, creating sophisticated approaches to analyze and forecast business performance, and presenting results of analyses and recommendations to Leadership. This position is heavily focused on backend development for reporting and database administration activities.

With this position, a variety of duties are expected but not limited to:

  • Database administration and report automation and processing, develop SQL, SSIS, and SSRS code
  • Develop reports in SSRS, Microstrategy or Tableau
  • Increased focus on data mining from ever more complex sources to meet the expectations of the organization and refine the available data
  • Identification and analysis of business requirements, translation of requirements into meaningful data intelligence
  • Releases to production for database objects and reports
  • Conceptual, logical, and physical database design to support requirements
  • Assist in design, implementation and support of all data feeds, ETLs and working with appropriate contacts to maintain, troubleshoot and restore ETL and data to sending and receiving systems as needed
  • Security controls for database, reporting, and data access
  • Support for technical issues and initiatives related to the server and databases
  • Engage in special assignments, projects, and sizing efforts as required
  • Ensures adherence to data management regulations and policies

Hours are 8:00-5:00 or other agreed time.

Charlotte, NC CIC location is highly preferable.

Minimal travel is expected.



Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of Tableau experience
  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both

  • 4+ years with SQL, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
  • Effectively communicate analytical results and make recommendations for key business decisions
  • Ability to perform research, trend, analyze data, summarize and recommend new strategies and solutions.
  • Ability to create reporting in Microstrategy tools a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to acquire new concepts and skills quickly.
  • Proficient in various realms of documentation (such as code, requirements, development plans)
  • Strong team collaboration skills and highly motivated
  • Solid writing skills for gathering well-documented technical requirements
  • Ability to mine data from multiple data sources
  • Understanding of the Agile Methodology
  • Use of JIRA
