Technology Operational Process and Data Management (TOPDM)

This role is part of the Technology Operational Process and Data Management (TOPDM) within the Technology Operations Data Services (TODS) group. This group is responsible for the oversight, inventory, lifecycle and reporting of Wells Fargos operational data required to manage the business of technology. Responsibilities include:

Metrics Governance and Analytics: Develop, define and manage a governance framework that provides oversight for the reporting necessary to support the Enterprise Technology Corporate Governance committee program. Deliver continuous improvement of the quality, taxonomy and proper accessibility of a metrics inventory that enables the accurate and compliant delivery of technology operational data reporting.

This position will leverage Tableau, SQL Server (SSRS, T-SQL, Power BI, etc.) and/or Excel to develop and maintain Business Intelligence metric development frameworks and automate metric calculation from available source data, and provide ad-hoc analytics with focus on EIT objectives, based on business requirements and in partnership with stakeholders. This position may lead projects/virtual teams and mentor lower level staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • 4+ years of MS SQL server experience
  • 2+ years of Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of financial services experience
  • 5+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to research, compile, and present critical operational data in executive summaries
  • Ability to research, analyze, document, and present organizational metrics that drive business decisions
  • Knowledge and understanding of business intelligence tools

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Build and maintain reporting, data, and metrics governance processes
  • Develop strategic partnerships with various levels of leadership within the organization, acting as a representative of the broader Metrics and Analytics team
  • Help define, develop and implement a metric data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality/validation processes
  • Strong experience with Micro Strategy, Tableau, or other business intelligence tool
  • Ability to work independently; ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks in a high production environment
  • Ability to work with and effectively communicate ideas across business and technical groups, including senior level managers
  • Ability to manipulate data from non-normalized or disparate data sources
  • First-hand experience with key IT operational data sources, such as Remedy, Qualys, DMaN, ISAI, ADDM, e2e/PTP, PMUWS, SHRP, and others
  • Project management / scrum leading experience
  • Knowledge of risk data architecture and technology solutions
  • Understanding of Wells Fargo and the way metrics are used to improve performance
