Job Description

The Financial Systems and Technology team within Wells Fargos Enterprise Information Technology (EIT)/ Enterprise Business Technology (EBT) is seeking a Liquidy Analytics Consultant in a position responsible for development and support of Liquidity Analytics Reporting System (LARS) using Informatica and Oracle functionality needed to deliver the best possible solution to our business partners.

A successful candidate will be client focused while acting as a senior Analyst who is required to interpret and analyze the business requirements as well as assist with the design, development and delivery of a technology solution that meets the needs of the end users while maintaining compliance with Wells Fargo change management processes and procedures

Responsibilities include:

  • Consults and performs very complex analyses/ analysis design involving data analysis from multiple sources and/or modeling, regression/multivariate, financial, comparative analysis, customer/demographic analysis, etc.
  • Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, and from multiple sources. To a certain degree, may be involved directly or indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc.
  • Responsible for consulting with partners to identify and define requirements and translate business needs into reporting and/or analysis designs, while providing consultative recommendations.
  • Leads and/or performs modeling, simulations and analysis efforts.
  • Actively participates in or leads the development of report creation and/or analysis designs using descriptive data analysis, and process documentation; interprets results and recommends solutions as appropriate.
  • Define business rules as SQL libraries to generate the report lines for Fed 5G reporting
  • The key to success will be the ability to act on past experiences, learn requirements quickly, and couple this with superior analytic, problem solving, and communication skills to discover and present key findings associated with complex analysis in a way that influences decision making.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 8+ years of analytics experience
  • 7 + years of computer application development experience
  • 7+ years of Oracle experience
  • 1+ year of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • Financial industry experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management and implementation in an IT applications systems environment
  • Ability to synthesize data to form a story and align information to contrast or compare to industry perspective and historical business trends
  • Knowledge and understanding of conversions, system analysis, data mapping, conversion reconcilement, validation and implementations

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience creating ad hoc analysis for business purposes.
  • Ability to research, compile, and perform complex analysis/trending on critical operational data.
  • Experience turning preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans, solutions, and test scripts.
