Job Description:

  • Responsible for very complex partner assignments to identify and define strategic business issues that require analyses and translates this information into insight, knowledge and understanding of the business and the industry. Consults and performs very complex analyses/ analysis design involving data mining from multiple sources and/or predictive modeling, regression/multivariate, financial, comparative analysis, customer/demographic analysis, etc. Analytics involved generally span multiple functional areas/business lines/data sources. Responsibilities also include identifying opportunities for additional statistical models and/or creating sophisticated computer modeling approaches to analyze and forecast business performance; participating in and/or leading management information capabilities development work; interpreting and presenting results of analyses and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources. To a certain degree, may be involved directly or indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization. Leads project/virtual teams & mentors lower level staff. Act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, documenting, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
  • Prepare specifications for system changes.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) relative to the UI, data elements, system calculations, and reporting requirements from our support tools.
  • Create both Operational and Executive Leadership Reports
  • Initiates User Acceptance Testing and documents Test Criteria and Test Scripts
  • Analyze and make suggestions on the improvement to the overall tool flow and usage to reduce User overhead and errors.
  • Provide Escalation support to assist troubleshooting efforts of client issues.
  • Participate in cross functional discussions regarding application design, architecture, and usage.
  • Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 2+ years of Tableau experience
  • 5+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel
  • 4+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Databases and associated tools , Access, SQL, Toad, etc
  • Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions
  • Data Set-up and Publishing understanding/experience with Tableau and Share Point
  • Ability to gather requirements and document User Stories, Test Plans, Process Flows within a JIRA environment.
