(Analytic Consultant 4) - Finance and Portfolio Analytics

Job Description

The Enterprise Analytics and Data Science (EADS) Strategy and Planning team is seeking a dynamic and flexible professional with a strong background in analytics, program management and financial analysis to lead a new function focused on business value quantification and risk management across a diverse portfolio of Company-level analytics aligned to Wells Fargo strategic priorities.


  • Manage a suite of initiative reporting analytics, including the development of value templates, dashboards and visualizations that successfully articulate the groups contributions to Company objectives
  • Develop and own an initiative tracking and business value identification process for a complex organization that has multiple analytic project groups working under a distributed operating model
  • Drive consistency and alignment across teams and stakeholders in other areas of the Company
  • Coordinate/reconcile intake and portfolio management with strategic partner organizations
  • Aggregate group accomplishments into a cohesive narrative suitable for executive level communications
  • Create and maintain financial analytic templates to produce metrics and projections for securing funding under the Enterprise Investment Optimization framework
  • Contribute to other EADS Strategy and Planning initiatives as needed

This role has a high level of exposure to senior EA leadership as well as to partner organizations. There is a significant opportunity to gain exposure to experts operating at the forefront of analytics within the banking industry and to gain perspective across the analytics function at Wells Fargo.

Who We Are:

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience in financial statements, projections and financial modeling
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Program and/or initiative management experience
  • Reporting/data visualization experience
  • Fluency with collaboration and/or project management tools (e.g. JIRA/SharePoint/etc.)
  • MBA preferred
